Snowfall Pulls People To Pattale In Solu


Pattale, located at the lower part of the district from where dozens of mountains ranges can be easily seen, is becoming a centre of attraction for domestic tourists in the wake of the recent snowfall.
Due to its proximity to the district headquarters and prolonged snowfall, Pattale is preferred for sightseeing.

According to local Prakash Magar, the operator of Himali Homestay, the number of people coming to play snow at Pattale on the border of Soludhudhkund Municipality, Nechasalyan Rural Municipality and Okhaldhunga is about an hour’s drive from the district headquarters Salleri.

He said that people from neighboring districts are also coming to play in the snow as there is heavy snow in Pattale at an altitude of 2,900 metres above sea level. He said that the employees, students and the general public of Sallari and the surrounding districts have been paying visit to the place recently.
The attraction of tourists has increased as they can play in the snow and see more than a dozen mountain ranges, including Mt. Everest at one sight.

From here, one can enjoy the view of more than a dozen mountains, including Everest and Gauri Shankar, said Kailash Koirala who had arrived at Pattale for the purpose.
He said that Pattale is a very nice place to play in the snow.
Pattale is also a popular religious site in the area, making it an attractive place for playing with snow and walking.

There is a natural stone with the foot of a cow and hundreds of people come to see it as it is a natural stone in the shape of Shiva, Parvati and Ganesha.
A guest house and homestay have been constructed at that place for the food and accommodation of the visitors.
