The State-3 government is set to construct peace parks in all 119 local levels of the state. The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law has come up with the plan to build peace parks to gradually develop tourism hotspots in each local level. According to the Ministry, the parks construction would be initiated in a way to complete them within four years. The park construction would be carried out in collaboration with the local governments, the ministry sources said.
The State government has earmarked Rs 100 million for the construction of the parks in the fiscal 2019/20 (2076/77 BS). Proposals would be solicited from local governments first and works would be carried forward based on the proposal within the budget ceiling, the state government further said. Shalikram Jamakattel, minister for internal affairs and law, said they would initiate the construction of parks by framing work procedure.
Local governments would also put their investment in the venture, he clarified. The State government has initiated its work to reach out to the grassroots people, minister Jamakattel claimed. He said this at a review programme organised by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law in Hetauda, the headquarters of State-3, on Monday. (RSS)
