Three including a pregnant woman succumb to COVID-19 in Parsa

Parsa has recorded three more COVID-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours.

Dr. Atulesh Chaurasiya, information officer and spokesperson of the Narayani Hospital, Birgunj, said that three COVID-19 patients, a female and two males receiving treatment at various health facilities succumbed to the virus infection in the last 24 hours.

A 62-year-old male COVID-19 patient of Birgunj Metropolitan City-14, Buhari died on Thursday morning while receiving treatment at Birgunj Healthcare Temporary COVID-19 Hospital. He was admitted to the COVID-19 temporary hospital on August 16. “He was suffering from kidney disease and pneumonia and he breathed his last at 8:10 am on Thursday morning,” said Dr. Chaurasiya.

Likewise, a 23-year-old pregnant woman of Subarna Rural Municipality-4, Bara, who was infected with the novel coronavirus, died on Thursday morning at Narayani Hospital. She breathed her last at 6:30 am in the morning, said Dr. Chaurasiya. She was admitted to the Narayani Hospital on August 24 after having some difficulties in breathing. The PCR test report on Wednesday revealed that she was infected with the novel coronavirus.

On Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm, a 72-year-old male COVID-19 patient of Dhobini Rural Municipality-3, Guleriya died at the isolation ward of Narayani Hospital. He was admitted to the hospital after having difficulties in breathing. He was found with the virus infection on August 24.

With this, Parsa’s COVID-19 death toll has reached 45, the highest death toll in a single district.
