The influx of tourists, which had completely halted after March 2020 for almost a year, is changing at the moment. With that, the flow of tourists is increasing in Nepal and also in the Manang area.
The Manang district had a huge flood in the monsoon of 2021 which flooded most of the buildings in the trekking route area. After that, the flow of tourists stopped at the Manang area
According to the Chief of Annapurna Conservation Area Project’s Area Conservation Office, Lekhnath Gautam, a total of 3818 tourists entered the Manang region since mid July through the third week of September 2022.
The tourists count comprised of at least 1874 tourists from countries apart from the SAARC.
As per the statistics given, Israel topped the list of tourist arrival with 428 followed by Germany (149), Spain (134), the United Kingdom (130), France (122), the United States (108) and other countries (873).
September to late January is considered to be the perfect time for trekking in Nepal.
