Traffic Division Hands Over 23 Recovered Bikes


The Metropolitan Traffic Police Division, Ramshahpath, Friday handed over 23 stolen two-wheelers recovered from various places inside Kathmandu Valley, their owners.
The vehicles handed over included 15 motorcycles and eight scooters.

Superintendent of Police and spokesperson for the Division Sanjeev Sharma Das informed that the traffic police offices had mobilised special teams to control vehicle theft in Kathmandu.
Senior Superintendent of Police and Chief of the Division Janak Bhattarai handed over the vehicles to their respective owners after verifying all their legal documents.
He said, “We are constantly working to find lost motorcycles and control theft.”

The Division has requested people to not park indiscriminately, not to park in secluded places for a long time and take safety precautions.
Of the 387 motorcycles reported lost this fiscal year, 171 motorcycles have been recovered and 168 have been given to their owners.
The Division has also sent 19 people involved in two-wheeler theft to the concerned police circles for legal action.
