At least two people have been dead and two have gone missing after the flood swept away a jeep in Ghorahi, Dang.
Two sisters of the same family were killed as the swollen Sisne Stream in Ghorahi-Lamahi road section of Gorahi Sub-metropolitan City-4 washed off a jeep with registration number Province 03-01-024 Cha 4440.
The police were able to successfully rescue the driver. According to DSP Mukunda Prasad Rijal, the deceased have been identified as Sushila Shrestha, 32, of Ghorahi-13, and Radha Shrestha Kunwar, 30, of Ghorahi-14.
Meanwhile, 40-year-old Ritamaya Pun of Ghorahi-13 and 42-year-old Bimala KC of Ghorahi-14 have gone missing in the accident.
Driver Nara Bahadur Pun, 40, of Ghorahi-15 was injured and is currently under treatment at Rapti Academy of Health Sciences.
