Ram Bahadur Baniya from CPN (UML) has been elected as mayor of the Budhiganga Municipality of the Bajura district. Similarly, UML’s Maya Kunwar has been elected as deputy mayor.
Baniya won the post by receiving 1,003 more votes than the Nepali Congress candidate Ranga Bahadur Khati.
Baniya received 4,777 votes while Khati received 3,774 votes, said Laxman Kathayat, Election Officer of the Budhiganga Municipality.
