Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has observed that the unity between his party and CPN Masal (contact center) has sent a strong message across the country.
Welcoming leaders and cadres of the Masal into the Maoist Center, leader Prachanda said, “This is a unity based on ideology, not something related to tactics and diplomatic move. It will have a long-term impact and send a strong message across the country.”
He viewed the unity between the Maoist Center and UML collapsed because a section of the UML used the unity as only a ladder to reach the state power.
“We had unity with the UML in order that a new era could be initiated in the country and that the country could be led toward socialism. But as a section of UML leadership used the unity only as a ladder to clutch to the state power, we have come to a new point to start unification of all leftist forces.”
He explained a regressive and reactionary move was taken just last year on December 20, 2020, and that the move was made to fail because of the people’s demonstration.
“We are ready to fight even greater revolutionary battles if needed. But, we will not let overturn the change brought about by the people’s blood,” said the former Prime Minister.
Chairman Prachanda pointed at the attempts made by reactionary forces to overturn the changes. “We all revolutionaries need to be cautious because risks of regression are still prevalent.”
