The United States of America has provided four raft boats with Out Board Motor (OBM) to the Nepali Army during a programme held at Chhauni, Kathmandu.
According to a press release issued by the Directorate of Public Relations and Information on Thursday, U.S. Embassy ODC (Office of Defense Cooperation) Chief Maj. Michael P. White handed over the rescue boats to Brigadier General Ramnath Sharma (Dhungana) of the Disaster Management Directorate of the Nepali Army.
The NA said that these rescue boats would be very useful in rescue and relief work during water-borne disasters such as floods.
