Vote count halts in Sunsari 4


The Nepali Congress’ candidate, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, also the sitting Minister for Communications and Information Technology and contesting from Sunsari constituency 4, has demanded impartiality in vote count, claiming electoral frauds.

There were frauds in vote count in the constituency, he maintained at an all-party meeting on Saturday evening. The meeting was called after representatives of the NC protested claiming electoral frauds, leading halt on vote count. The NC claimed that 606 votes received by the party were added to the vote numbers garnered by the CPN-UML.

Karki demanded resumption of the vote count only after investigating the matter.

The meeting was attended by Minister Karki, UML’s candidate Jagadhish Prasad Kusiyat from the constituency and leaders of various political parties. (RSS)
