Weather To Clear From Today


The country’s general weather system is currently affected by the western disturbance and development of low pressure system and the weakening cyclone ‘Tau-Te’ moving northwest from Gujarat, India.
As a result, there is a generally to mostly cloudy situation across the country since Tuesday afternoon.
It was raining lightly in some parts of the country including the Kathmandu Valley since Thursday early morning while it rained heavily in Karnali, Suddurpaschim and Lumbini provinces of the country Thursday night.
“Light to moderate rainfall is taking place in the Kathmandu Valley since early morning Thursday,” said Sajina Shakya, meteorologist at the Meteorological Forecasting Division. The weather will be clear only from Saturday in the valley and most parts of the country.
There is still a possibility of heavy rain in a few places in Gandaki and Bagmati provinces.
According to the department, there is a possibility of heavy snow and rain in some places in the high mountainous terrains.
“We have been urging everyone to take necessary precautions in the high mountainous as there is chance of heavy snowfall in the mountain and water flow in some rivers might increase causing disturbance in the vehicular movement due to the indirect impact of the cyclone,” meteorologist Shakya said.
