PSG lost 1-0 for the second consecutive week in a crazy, bad-tempered ‘Le Classique’ at Le Parc des Princes.
Thomas Tuchel’s side continued their disastrous start to the Ligue 1 season as Florian Thauvin’s strike downed the champions and gave Marseille their first victory over PSG in nine years.
However, the ramifications could be worse for Tuchel as PSG had three players sent off in the closing minutes of the encounter after a fracas played out between both sides.
Layvin Kurzawa and Leandro Paredes were sent off for their parts in the chaos, while Neymar also received his marching orders for slapping Marseille defender Álvaro González on the back of the head.
The visitors had Jordan Amavi and Dario Bendetto sent from the field.
