Defending champion Tribhuvan Army Club entered the quarterfinals of the 7th NVA National Club Volleyball Championship after registering the second victory in a row at National Sports Council (NSC) covered hall, Kathmandu on Monday.
Army registered a 25-11, 25-20 and 25-14 victory over comfortable victory over Mani Makunda Volleyball Club in its second match. The win cruised Army into the last eight securing the top spot with six points in the men’s league table.
Similarly, Keshab Lal Memorial Volleyball Training Centre overcame Madhesh Province by 25-21, 25-23, 27-29 and 25-17. Likewise, Help Nepal thrashed Budhalinkantha Sports Club by 25-16, 25-19 and 25-16 in a straight set.
In the women’s category, New Diamond Academy made a winning start by rallying past Naya Bazar Youth Club by 25-2, 25-8 and 25-6 in straight sets.
