(AP) — India won the toss Sri Lanka and opted to bowl in the second Twenty20 on Saturday.
The hosts lead 1-0 in the three-match series after winning the first game by 62 runs in Lucknow.
Dharamsala is the venue for the last two back-to-back games of this short series.
The Himalayan town has witnessed steady rainfall over the past few days. This second T20 will get underway on time, however.
The pitch at the HPCA Stadium should help batsmen despite an even covering of grass on the surface. There is little chance of dew unlike in prior T20 games.
India has gone with an unchanged side. Prior to this second match, opener Ruturaj Gaikwad was ruled out of the entire series. He had suffered an injured wrist ahead of the first T20.
Sri Lanka has made two changes with Binura Fernando and Danushka Gunathilaka coming in to strengthen the bowling and batting, respectively. The visitors have lost five of their last six T20s and need to break this losing streak to stay alive in the series.
India is on a winning run of 10 consecutive T20s stretching back to November 2021.
