Javi Martínez delivers emotional extra-time Super Cup for Bayern

There really is no stopping Bayern Munich after they added another trophy to their haul with Super Cup success against Sevilla in Budapest.

It took extra-time to settle it when Javi Martínez, a man who seems to be on the brink of a move back to his homeland, struck for the winner.

Sevilla took an early lead when Ivan Rakitić went down after colliding with David Alaba in the area and Lucas Ocampos reliably tucked away a no-look penalty.

But Bayern levelled on 34 minutes when Lewandowski laid off for Leon Goretzka to find the corner emphatically and 1-1 was how it stayed until extra-time.

There, moments before the interval, Martínez struck with an excellent rebounded header for what could be his final act for the club.

If so, what a way to bow out.
