The team who were behind the influential model are projecting that around 300,000 lives could be lost due to the Corona-virus but things can change only if Americans consistently wear masks. Nearly 163,000 lives have already been lost in the United States since the pandemic began.The US forecasts around 2,95,011 deaths by December,the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation statements says.
Director of IHME states that if 95% of the Americans use face masks or face covering nearly 66,000 lives could be saved and the projection would decrease to 2,28,271 deaths.
