Four hundred nineteen members of Educational Consultancy Association of Nepal (ECAN), an umbrella organisation of educational consultancies across the country, elected a 19-member executive committee led by Shesh Raj Bhattarai for the next two years. He is the CEO of Orbit International Education.
On an election held on Saturday ,Bharttarai secured two hundred thirty eight votes as his closest competitor Bishnu Hari Pandey received one hundred forty six.
Similary, Laxman Andrew Poudel was elected as the vice-president and Deepak Raj Bhusal as the first secretary as Bhawanath Humagain as the second secretary.
Ratna Bahadur Bhattarai, Aashik Karki and the Bikalpa Raj Pokharel are the new treasurers. Suraj Silwal. Sadhana Pudasaini, Uma Khadka, Manjit Dhakal, Gobinda Khanal, Ashish Rayamajhi, Sashi prasad Bhattarai, Bijaya Kumar Basnet Basnet and Shriram Giri are the newly elected executive members of the body.
ECAN is an authoritative body that controls and monitors all activities of its member consultancies across the country.
