The number of Nepalis who died due to the coronavirus in the UK has reached 33 as of Sunday, according to the Embassy of Nepal in London.
Sharad Raj Aran, spokesperson for the embassy, told media that 33 Nepalis have succumbed to COVID-19 in the UK till date.
According to the embassy’s report, most of the deceased were former Gurkha veterans and their family members. Among the 33 who died, 23 were former British Gurkha soldiers.
Aran said that the embassy is currently gathering the data of Nepali nationals infected by the virus across the United Kingdom.
