After Brisbane and Sydney, Tourism Minister Bhattarai to visit Melbourne

Nepal’s Tourism, Culture and Civil Aviation Minister Yogesh Bhattarai who is in Australia to promote Visit Nepal 2020 will be interacting with the community in Melbourne too, it has been decided. Minister Bhattarai is in Australia to engage, interact and encourage the Nepali Diaspora to promote Visit Nepal 2020 – talking to large number of Nepalis in Brisbane and Sydney, Minister Bhattrai asked for two things:

  1. That each Nepali commit to taking at least one Australian mate to Nepal in 2020.
  2. Australian residents of Nepali origin to visit Nepal during the year.

“Last year, in 2019, 38,000 Australian passport holders visited Nepal – the number must be at least 100,000 in 2020”, he roared.

After reaching out to the community in Brisbane and Sydney, Minister Bhattarai, accompanied with Mahesh Dahal, Ambassador of Nepal to Australia and team is expected to arrive in Melbourne on the 8th of December.

According to Chandra Yonzon, Honorary Consulate General of Nepal to Victoria, Minister Bhattarai will participate in an interactive event. The details of the event are:

6 pm to 10 pm. 

The function is a paid event, and NRNA Australia and will also incur a voluntary donation. According to Keshav Kandel, President of NRNA Australia, tickets will be divided into two categories – AUD 100 with voluntary donation to those affected by the devastating bush fires which have affected large communities across in Australia, whereas AUD 70 for those who do not have the means to donate but would like to be a part of the interactive program.
