Melbourne, Australia – Australia going to speed up the visa process. Immigration minister Andrew Giles, issuing a statement on Tuesday, informed that Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s government has prioritized speeding up the visa process.
Although he said that the visa process will be done at a faster speed, he also clarified that it cannot be reduced overnight due to the high load of visas. In a statement issued by Minister Giles, it is said that priority will be given to skilled workers, students and visit visas. By speeding up this process, immigrants are expected to make a significant contribution to Australia’s economic growth.
The statement also mentioned that the number of pending visa applications has reached 1 million due to the previous government’s devaluing of immigration .The Australian Immigration Department has completed the work of 745,000 visas since June 2022. Among them, 388,000 visitors, 62,000 students and 9,505 temporary skilled worker visas.
