Labor, also to provide $1 million for Nepali Community Centre

Labor Party of Australia has also announced $1 million for Nepali Community Centre. Previously, Liberal Party had already committed $1 million for the centre if Morrison Government gets re-elected.

Peter Khalil, Federal Labor Member for the seat of Wills, addressing the multicultural community also declared that if his government wins, Labor will be providing additional $2 million for South Asian community. Khalil emphasised that the additional budget will be utilised on the existing community centres and new centres as well.

Khalil is running  from the electorate of Wills, which is highly populated by Nepali community. Chandra Dipak Pokharel, President of Australian Nepalese Multicultural Centre (NMC), appreciated the announcement and was hopeful that they will be working in conjunction to each other in the near future.
