Nepali student stabbed in Australia

A 19 year old Nepali student was stabbed in Brisbane, Queensland on Friday night. Just before 10pm, the 19-year-old woman was walking from the train station, when she was approached by a man. According to police, he placed his forearm over her face.

The woman screamed and made attempts to escape when the man wounded her hip with an sharp object before he pushed her to the ground.

The man then fled the scene of crime.

The woman sustained wounds to her hip, a swollen forearm and bruised knee during the incident and was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for treatment.

She received treatment and was discharged from the hospital on Saturday morning. According to reports, the victim is an IT student and originally from Dharan. She was returning home, when the incident occurred.
