Melbourne, Australia – Newly appointed Nepali Ambassador to Australia Kailashraj Pokhrel has been welcomed to Australia.
Pokharel, who landed at the Melbourne International Airport on Monday evening, was welcomed by people from the Nepali community, including Hon. Consul General of Nepal to Victoria, Chandra Yonzon. It is said that Ambassador Pokharel will go to Canberra on Tuesday morning and on the 25th, he will present the certificate of status to the Governor of Australia in Canberra.
On the recommendation of the government, President Bidya Devi Bhandari appointed Pokharel as the resident ambassador to Australia on June 12.
