A man has been arrested after he allegedly claimed to have an explosive device at Crown casino. Police arrested a 55-year-old man at the scene.
Crown was evacuated around 3.30pm with the critical incident response team and the bomb squad responding to the Southbank incident.
The first level of Crown and the surrounding promenade were evacuated, with some people forced to sheltered inside during the incident.
Police have swarmed outside the Crown Casino premises following an incident. The incident has not been reported. The building has been evacuated.
Almost 60 heavily armed police officers, including the city’s Special Operation Group are in the scene.
