Foreign Secretaries of Nepal and Australia meet in Canberra


Melbourne, Australia – The meeting between the foreign secretaries of Nepal and Australia has been completed. Under the leadership of Nepal’s Foreign Secretary Bharat Raj Paudyal, a meeting was held between Jan Adams, Secretary of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, in Canberra, the capital of Australia. The issue of strengthening bilateral relations was discussed in the meeting. According to the Nepali Embassy in Canberra, the issue of increasing bilateral aid was also discussed in the meeting. In the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the governments of Nepal and Australia on cooperation in the field of water resources management.


A three-member team headed by Foreign Secretary Bharat Raj Paudyal arrived in Canberra yesterday via Melbourne. Secretary Paudyal, who came to Melbourne yesterday, visited the Consulate General of Victoria.
