Some of the top bankers of Nepal who had arrived in Melbourne on Sunday have successfully concluded their ‘Executive Leadership Development Program’.
The program, an initiative of Banking, Finance, Insurance Institute of Nepal was a week long program from Monday, 2nd December to Friday, 6th December, was organised in association with the Consulate General of Nepal to Victoria. A team of 21 bankers, including prominent bankers such as Rajesh Kumar Shrestha (Director, Century Commercial Bank), Dr. Indra Bahadur Malla Thakuri (Director, Mega Bank) and Udaya Mohan Shrestha (Director, Prime Commercial Bank).
The program included engaging presentations on international standards by Dr Peter Demediuk and leadership, innovation and change by Dr Keith Thomas at Victoria University.
The program commenced on Monday with addresses by Hon. Consul General of Nepal to Victoria, Chandra Yonzon, Victoria University Pro Vice-Chancellor (Business & Law), Professor Mark Farrell and Professor Anona Armstrong AM, followed by insightful presentations by Dr June Smith GAICD and Sudeep Maskey.
The Consulate General of Nepal to Victoria also hosted local and visiting delegates, as well as prominent members of Victoria’s Nepalese community, at a special welcome dinner that evening.
