Vic Health publishes exposure sites after man from Wollert, Melbourne’s north tests positive for Covid-19

Melbourne, Australia:

Victorian health authorities are investigating after a man in his thirties from Melbourne’s north tested positive for Covid-19 on Tuesday. The man is said to have completed his 14 day mandatory quarantine in South Australia before flying to Melbourne last Tuesday. According to Victorian health department, “he developed symptoms on Saturday, got tested on Monday, and returned a positive result on Tuesday”.

Health authorities are urgently investigating how the man contracted the virus despite undergoing 14 day mandatory quarantine in SA. He had arrived in Adelaide from India via Maldives and Singapore.

It has also been reported that further testing has confirmed the initial positive result of the man, but three household contacts have tested negative.

Meanwhile, Vic Health has released the following exposure sites:

TIER 1 – if you have been to any of these locations during the time indicated, immediately isolate, get tested and quarantine for 14 days. Also, call the Department of Health on 1300 651 160.

ALTONA NORTH – TIC Group (Front office) at 232 Blackshaws Rd, all day on Thursday 6 May

MELBOURNE CBD – Curry Vault Indian Restaurant and Bar at 18-20 Bank Place, between 6:30pm and 9:30pm on Friday, 7 May

EPPING – Indiagate Spices and Groceries at Unit 14C/560-590 High St, between 5:00pm to 6:00pm on Saturday, 8 May

EPPING – Woolworths Epping, Cnr Cooper and High St in Epping, between 5:40pm and 6:38pm on Saturday, 8 May

TIER 2 – if you have been to any of these locations during the time indicated, immediately isolate, get tested and stay isolated until you receive a negative result. Also, call the Department of Health on 1300 651 160.
