Victoria’s records zero new local cases of Covid-19 as circuit-breaker lockdown ends

Melbourne, Australia:

Victoria recorded zero new local cases of Covid-19 on Thursday. One case was confirmed witin an overseas traveller, and is in hotel quarantine. The number of active COVID-19 infections in Victoria is 25.

Victoria at midnight ended its five day snap-lockdown, and Victorians are able to travel more than 5 kilometres of their homes. Retail and restaurant are also open, and Victorians are seen posting pleasant photos of them in their favourite cafes on their social media.

Meanwhile mandatory masks at all indoor venues (except homes) and outdoor venues wherein 1.5 metre physical distancing rule cannot be maintained is applicable, and limit on household (up to 5) and public (up to 20) is also in place.

Holiday Inn Cluster:

A total of 19 confirmed cases have been connected to the Holiday Inn outbreak. The last two linked infections were reported on February 16, and more than 3,400 close contacts have been identified and isolated.
