Highly acclaimed Indian actor, Irrfan Khan passed away on Wednesday. He was undergoing treatment for colon infection at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital.
Khan, an actor of international repute had acted in several Bollywood and Hollywood films, including Slumdog Millionaire, The Amazing Spider Man, and Life of Pi. His notable Bollywood films include The Lunchbox, Piku, Maqbool, Paan Singh Tomar, Haider, and Billu Barber, among others. His last film was Angrezi Medium released in 2020.
Irrfan Khan is survived by his wife Sutapa and two sons. In 2018, Khan had confirmed he had been diagnosed with an edocrine tumour, a rare illness affecting cells that release hormones into the bloodstream. He had undergone treatment in a London hospital.
