Indo-Nepali film Sayara to be made


A film named Sayara will be made in a joint investment of Nepali and Indian producers.

The film will be produced by Bollywood producer and director Pushkar Jha, it was informed at a programme held in the capital on Tuesday.

Jha, who is producing serials and films in India, said that he was happy to collaborate with a Nepali film.

“I wanted to make a Nepali film. I am excited to have this collaboration now. Our team is preparing to take Nepali films to the world market through Hindi language. We will also release the film through OTT along with the hall,” said Jha.

Director Vishal Desai said that he was excited to join the Nepal-Indo project. “I am excited that I have been selected as a director. We will prepare this project in such a way that the friendship between our two neighbouring countries will deepen further,” he added.

According to presenter Raghu Pariyar, they are preparing to release the film in Hindi and Nepali languages as well as on OTT. Aryan Sigdel, Sufia Siddiqui and Kabita Nepali will be doing the lead roles.

Presenter Raghu also said that he would soon give information about other actors and technicians of the film. Actor Aryan said that he got connected because of the idea and team of the film.

Kabita Nepali, who is known through dancing reality shows, is making her debut in silver screen through this film.

According to the film unit, 90 per cent of the film will be shot in Australia and 10 per cent in Nepal.

The film will have actors from both Nepal and India, and it will go to the floor between Dashain and Tihar festivals.

Kajiman Atreya is the executive producer and Pushkar Jha is the producer of the film. Presenter Pariyar himself has written the story of the film.

Sufia Siddiqui, who has already been associated with a few Bollywood and Hollywood films, said she was excited with the new Nepali project.
