Nepathya concludes musical concert in Birgunj


Nepathya concluded its rock concert in Birgunj on Monday. Issuing a press statement on Tuesday, the organiser Nepalaya informed that the musical concert was a huge success in Birgunj.

Nepathya had previously performed in Birgunj 18 years back under its ‘Education for Peace’ campaign, and this time the popular musical band performed the concert under ‘Music for Humanity’ campaign in collaboration with Manav Seva Ashram.

“This time we have to wait for almost two decades to come to Birgunj,” said lead singer of the band Amrit Gurung. The musical band has performed the songs like Bhedako Un Jasto, Chhekyo, Chari Maryo, Jomsome Bazar, Yo Jindagani and other songs.

“I don’t remember such a wonderful event ever held in Birgunj till date,” Binod Periyar, who was enjoying the event, was saying, informed Nepalaya. Ganesh Lath, president of Madhes Province of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, expressed his happiness that an encouraging number of audience attended the rock concert.

Singer Amrit was supported by Dhrub Lama on the drumset, Suraj Thapa on the keyboard, Subin Shakya on the bass, Niraj Gurung on the guitar and Shanti Rayamajhi on the Madal.

Ramji Adhikari, president of Manav Seva Ashram, said that the Birgunj concert of Nepathya was more successful than expected. After the Birgunj concert, the 70-member Nepathya team left for Hetauda in five trucks and two buses on Tuesday. Another concert of Nepathya is scheduled at Bhutandevi school ground for Thursday.
