18 Nepalis have succumbed to COVID-19 in UK

One more Nepali has died in the United Kingdom due to coronavirus infection. The deceased has been identified as 49-year-old Bijaya Gurung.

Originally from Yangjakot of Pokhara in Nepal, he had been living in Reading, London.

He was admitted to the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading last week after after complaining of respiratory problems.

Though he breathed his last on Sunday, hospital authorities reportedly informed his family members two days after his death.

According to Nanda Gurung, president of Redding Tamu Society, Gurung died while undergoing treatment at the Hospital.

The death toll of Nepalis due to COVID-19 in the United Kingdom has reached 18 so far.
