A 56-year-old male has been arrested on the charge of raping a girl living with a physical disability in Letang Municipality-9 of Morang.
Sharan Bahadur Rai of Letang-3 was arrested after a complaint was filed against him for raping a 19-year-old girl.
According to the spokesperson of Morang Police, DSP Deepak Shrestha, the police arrested Rai after receiving a complaint that he had taken the girl to the shed that was built on his farm and raped her on Saturday night.
The police said that the young girl, who cannot walk owing to her disability, was carried into the shed.
“The investigation process has started by taking him into custody and charging him as per the sex offense case,” said Shrestha.
