57 new COVID-19 cases confirmed in Nepal, taking national total to 191

The Ministry of Health and Population has confirmed 57 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, taking the national tally to 191.

The new cases were confirmed from PCR tests conducted at the National Public Health Laboratory (NPHL) in Kathmandu.

Among the infected, eight persons are from Kapilvastu district, nine from Rupandehi, 39 from Parsa, and one person from Bara. All of them are males.

This is the largest number of new cases conformed in a single day. The staggering rise in new cases can push Nepal’s already poor helath care system to further crisis.
