AIESEC hosting ‘END GBV: Together We Can’


To mark the ongoing 16 days of activism against Gender Based Violence (GBV), AIESEC in Patan in collaboration with the Good Shepherd International Foundation is hosting the “END GBV: Together We Can” event as an initiative to engage over 500 youths.

The event kicked off in all 7 provinces of Nepal on November 16 and will continue till December 10 with cooperation from over four different countries. The event aims to promote SDG 5 (Gender Equality), awareness and actions for the prevention and elimination of Gender Based Violence among school students, teachers, emerging social activists, and youths, and to also advocate for a violence-free school environment.

AIESEC is the world’s largest youth-led organization, present in more than 110 countries and territories, with the vision of achieving “Peace and Fulfillment of Humankind’s Potential.

Among other programs, the event has a poetry competition with the aim to make students aware of gender-related issues and make them understand the importance of gender equality.

The prize money of the poetry competition is Rs 4000, Rs 3000, and Rs 2000 for the winner, first runner-up, and second runner-up, respectively.

The 16 days of activism kicked off globally, including Nepal, on November 25 and will run until December 10.
