All Forces Should Unite To Fight Against Regression: Nepal

Chairperson of the CPN (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal, has said that as efforts were underway to take the country back towards regression all forces should be united to fight against it.

At an interaction organised by Socialist Press Organisation here on Monday, Chair Nepal mentioned that parliament obstruction is an example of regression. The CPN (UML) has been obstructing the parliament, accusing the Speaker of not implementing the action taken by it against 14 parliamentarians, who have joined the CPN (Unified Socialist).

He said that the right of parliamentarians to become independent regarding the formation of government should not be curtailed. The CPN (US) Chair argued that obstructing the parliament over the issue, which is under consideration at court, is against the Constitution.

Also former Prime Minister, Nepal shared that the alliance formed against the regression would be continued in the upcoming elections and later too. He also expressed belief that the alliance would be continued even after the election as none of the political parties would get a majority in the election.

Similarly, Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, made it clear that the five-party alliance was formed to end regression in the country, adding that the alliance would be made stronger in the coming days.

Chairperson of the Socialist Press Organisation, Sambhu Shrestha, blamed the CPN (UML) leadership of betraying the country and people by dissolving the parliament in an unlawful manner.
