Ayurveda Health Centre Tanahu draws increasing number of patients

The District Ayurveda Health Centre Tanahu has been a huge draw among the locals visiting the Centre for treatment.

Locals, mostly those from rural areas visit the Centre where there is a free-of-cost treatment facility for them, shared Dr Ramprabodh Mandal, Chief of the Centre.

According to Mandal, around 65,000 availed treatment from the Centre during the last fiscal year 2021/22 against a total of 55,842 in the fiscal year 2020/21.

People with laryngitis, respiratory issue, asthma, orthopaedics, gastric and obstetrics among others thronged the Centre, informed Mandal, adding that 38,585 people with these kinds of ailments were treated during the fiscal year 2019/20.

Attracted by the successful cases of the Centre which treats the patients with methods such as Ksharasutra and Panchakarma, more and more people were coming to the Centre lately, not only from Tanahu but also from its neighbouring districts.

Also, there is no side-effect of the Ayurvedic treatment which was also one of the pull factors among the patients towards the Centre.

The Ksharasutra is a minimal invasive Ayurvedic para surgical procedure in the management of Anorectic (related to anus and rectum) disorders while Panchakarma means a minimal invasive bio-cleansing procedure involving five therapeutic measures for purification/detoxification of the body.

A physiotherapy machine has been procured by the Centre to render services to paralysis and asthma patients added Mandal. (RSS)
