B’Deshi Prez Hamid’s Nepal visit

The President of People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Md Abdul Hamid, is scheduled to arrive in Kathmandu at 12 noon today for his official state visit of Nepal at the invitation of President Bidya Devi Bhandari.

According to the press release by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the President of Bangladesh will be accorded a ceremonial welcome at the Tribhuvan International Airport upon his arrival.

President Bhandari is also scheduled to host a banquet in honor of her Bangladeshi counterpart and his delegation. President Hamid will meet President Bhandari at Shital Niwas, her official residence, tomorrow afternoon. He will also attend an honorary dinner, along with his delegation, to be hosted by President Bhandari tomorrow itself.

President Hamid is leading a 52-member delegation and will also be traveling to Pokhara as well as some historical, archaeological and cultural sites in the Kathmandu Valley.

President Hamid will be flying back home on November 15.
