The construction of a charging station in Dhalkebar of Dhanusha has made it easier for charging vehicles while running across the east-west highway.
Paramount Motors, an authorized distributor of MG motors, constructed the first charging station in Dhalkebar in February.
The charging stations are also installed in Chitwan and Biratnagar.
DC charger has also been installed in Bardias of Mahottari but drivers have complaints of the problem in it.
A charging station is also installed at Mulkot along the Bardibas-Kathmandu BP highway.
The operator of Komal Hotel where the charging station is installed, Rampramod Shah, said that 25 to 30 vehicles get charged every day at the rate of Rs 15 per unit. A charging station has the capacity to charge two vehicles at a time.
A generator has been put in place to supply the power for charging in case of a power outage.
Hundreds of private electric motorcycles and cars run every day on the east-west highway.
One of the vehicle owners, Madan Shrestha, said that the installation of the charging station has made it a lot easier for charging to a large number of people.
