COVID-19: Daily update from Nepal’s Ministry of Health and Population

No. of tests in past 24 hours (nationwide): 167

No. of people in isolation: 120

As per the mobile app and COVID-19 informational website of MOHP (covid19.mohp.gov.np)

5626 people have registered themselves with their symptoms, and of them 107 have been classified under the Red Zone.

Note by MoHP: A few people haven’t filled their forms properly and have given out incorrect personal information such as address, phone numbers. MoHP has requested the public to give correct details.

Pokhara Case:

MoHP has dismissed reports about a patient testing positive in Pokhara after a few media outlets reported the same. A few leading media outlets claimed a man had tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Pokhara, and were awaiting a confirmation from Teku, however, as per MoHP, the reports are untrue.
