Dr. Bikash Devkota, Speaker for the Ministry of Health and Population appeared on Facebook Live for the day’s media briefing. Here are a few updates:

Total no. of tests done in Nepal: 162,730 (PCR: 60,696 + RDT:102,034)

No. of tests in last 24 hours: 4,166

Tests outside Kathmandu: Dharan, Pokhara, Hetauda, Janakpur, Surkhet, Dhangadi, Dhulikhel, Bharatpur, Nepalgunj, Bhairawaha (PCR Tests)

Rapid Diagnostic Tests: 97,967 (RDT Started in every districts)

(Swab samples of individuals who have tested positive in RDT is sent for PCR test )

No. of people in isolation: 850

Inside Valley: 31

Outside valley: 819

(On suspicion of coronavirus, tests either yet to be done, or results are awaited)

No. of cases: 1,042
