Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, Speaker for the Ministry of Health and Population appeared on Facebook Live for the day’s media briefing. Here are a few updates:

Total no. of tests done in Nepal: 504,911 (PCR: 210,877 + RDT: 294,034)

No. of tests in last 24 hours: 8,291

Tests outside Kathmandu: Dharan, Pokhara, Hetauda, Janakpur, Surkhet, Dhangadi, Dhulikhel, Bharatpur, Nepalgunj, Bhairawaha (PCR Tests)

No. of cases: 12,309

Active cases: 9,447

Recovery: 2,834

Death: 28 (The deceased is a 50-year-old male of Godavari-7, Kailali. He was receiving treatment in Chitwan Medical College as he was suffering from lung-related problem. He was transferred to isolation of Chitwan Medical College after he tested positive for coronavirus on June 25. He died today at 6:35 am. His body is being cremated under observation of Nepal Army.)
