Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, Speaker for the Ministry of Health and Population appeared on Facebook Live for the day’s media briefing. Here are a few updates:

Total no. of tests done in Nepal: 522,218 (PCR: 223,630 + RDT: 298,588)

No. of tests in last 24 hours: 9,613

Tests outside Kathmandu: Dharan, Pokhara, Hetauda, Janakpur, Surkhet, Dhangadi, Dhulikhel, Bharatpur, Nepalgunj, Bhairawaha (PCR Tests)

No. of cases: 13,248

Active cases: 10,085

Recovery: 3,134 

Death: 29 ( (The deceased is a 30-year-old male of Jaipur-7, Rautahat. He was receiving treatment in ICU of Star Hospital, Sanepa as he was suffering from lung-related problem from last 3 months. His swab sample was sent to Patan Laboratory for coronavirus test on June 27. He died on same day at 8:00 pm. His test result came positive on June 28 evening. His body was cremated under observation of Nepal Army.)
