Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, Speaker for the Ministry of Health and Population appeared on Facebook Live for the day’s media briefing. Here are a few updates:

Total no. of PCR tests done in Nepal: 233,227

No. of PCR tests in last 24 hours: 4,875

Tests outside Kathmandu: Dharan, Pokhara, Hetauda, Janakpur, Surkhet, Dhangadi, Dhulikhel, Bharatpur, Nepalgunj, Bhairawaha (PCR Tests)

No. of cases: 14,046

Active cases: 9,360

Recovery: 4,656 

Death: 30 (The deceased is a 45-year-old male of Ramroshan-5, Achham. He was admitted to the ICU of Bayalpata Hospital, Achham after having sudden respiratory problem on June 27. His swab sample was sent to laboratory for coronavirus test after his death which came positive on June 30. The deceased was said to be suffering from diabetes.)
