Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, Speaker for the Ministry of Health and Population appeared on Facebook Live for the day’s media briefing. Here are a few updates:

Total no. of PCR tests done in Nepal: 342,030

No. of PCR tests in last 24 hours: 3,481

Tests outside Kathmandu: Dharan, Pokhara, Hetauda, Janakpur, Surkhet, Dhangadi, Dhulikhel, Bharatpur, Nepalgunj, Bhairawaha (PCR Tests)

No. of cases: 18,752

Active cases: 4,950

Recovery: 13,754

Death: 48 (The deceased is 65-year-old male Indian citizen residing in Parsa-10, Birgunj. He was admitted to Gandak Hospital after suffering from diabetes and heart problem. He succumbed to coronavirus on July 26 morning. Another deceased is 36-year-old male of Dumariya-8, Dhanusa who was admitted to Provincial Hospital, Janakpur after having high fever and respiratory problem on July 25. He died due to coronavirus on July 26. Similarly, a 60-year-old male from Bara died today owing to coronavirus today. He was suffering from pneumonia, mental problems and kidney-related problems.)
