Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, Speaker for the Ministry of Health and Population appeared on Facebook Live for the day’s media briefing. Here are a few updates:

Total no. of PCR tests done in Nepal: 347,063

No. of PCR tests in last 24 hours: 5,031

Tests outside Kathmandu: Dharan, Pokhara, Hetauda, Janakpur, Surkhet, Dhangadi, Dhulikhel, Bharatpur, Nepalgunj, Bhairawaha (PCR Tests)

No. of cases: 19,063

Active cases: 5,129

Recovery: 13,875

Death: 49 (The deceased is a permanent resident of Bungal-3, Bajhang. The 65-year-old male was suffering from asthma and had returned from Bangalore, India on July 8. He succumbed to coronavirus on July 24 in his own house.)
