COVID-19: MoHP Daily Updates; Total cases: 49 (37 active, 12 recovery)

Dr. Bikash Devkota, Speaker for the Ministry of Health and Population appeared on Facebook Live for the day’s media briefing. Here are a few updates:

Total no. of tests done in Nepal: 49,336 ( PCR: 9,666 + Rapid Test: 39,670)

No. of tests in last 24 hours: 1,940

Tests outside Kathmandu: Dharan, Pokhara, Hetauda, Janakpur, Surkhet, Dhangadi, Dhulikhel, Bharatpur, Nepalgunj, Bhairawaha (PCR Tests)

Rapid Diagnostic Tests: 39,670

(RDT Started in every districts)

(Swab samples of individuals who have tested positive in RDT is sent for PCR test )

No. of people in isolation: 87

Inside Valley: 3

Outside valley: 84

(On suspicion of coronavirus, tests either yet to be done, or results are awaited)

Contact Tracing: On going
