Dr. Bikash Devkota, Speaker for the Ministry of Health and Population appeared on Facebook Live for the day’s media briefing. Here are a few updates:

Total no. of tests done in Nepal: 146,834 (PCR: 51,642 + RDT: 95,192)

No. of tests in last 24 hours: 8,070

Tests outside Kathmandu: Dharan, Pokhara, Hetauda, Janakpur, Surkhet, Dhangadi, Dhulikhel, Bharatpur, Nepalgunj, Bhairawaha (PCR Tests)

Rapid Diagnostic Tests: 95,192 (RDT Started in every districts)

(Swab samples of individuals who have tested positive in RDT is sent for PCR test )

No. of people in isolation: 567

Inside Valley: 26

Outside valley: 541

(On suspicion of coronavirus, tests either yet to be done, or results are awaited)

No. of cases: 682

Active cases: 566

Recovery: 112

Death: 4

New cases: 7
