COVID-19: MoHP daily updates; Total cases: 82 ( 66 active, 16 recovery)

Dr. Bikash Devkota, Speaker for the Ministry of Health and Population appeared on Facebook Live for the day’s media briefing. Here are a few updates:

Total no. of tests done in Nepal: 66,077 (PCR: 13.850 + RDT: 52,227)

No. of tests in last 24 hours: 1,582

Tests outside Kathmandu: Dharan, Pokhara, Hetauda, Janakpur, Surkhet, Dhangadi, Dhulikhel, Bharatpur, Nepalgunj, Bhairawaha (PCR Tests)

Rapid Diagnostic Tests: 52,227 (RDT Started in every districts) (Swab samples of individuals who have tested positive in RDT is sent for PCR test )

No. of people in isolation: 120

Inside Valley: 2

Outside valley: 118

(On suspicion of coronavirus, tests either yet to be done, or results are awaited)

Contact Tracing: On going
