COVID-19: MoHP updates; 27 new cases – total cases: 402

Dr. Bikash Devkota, Speaker for the Ministry of Health and Population appeared on Facebook Live for the day’s media briefing. Here are a few updates:

Total no. of tests done in Nepal: 107,253(PCR: 32,604 + RDT: 74,649)

No. of tests in last 24 hours: 7,369

Tests outside Kathmandu: Dharan, Pokhara, Hetauda, Janakpur, Surkhet, Dhangadi, Dhulikhel, Bharatpur, Nepalgunj, Bhairawaha (PCR Tests)

Rapid Diagnostic Tests: 74,649 (RDT Started in every districts)

(Swab samples of individuals who have tested positive in RDT is sent for PCR test )

No. of people in isolation: 457

Inside Valley: 17

Outside valley: 440

(On suspicion of coronavirus, tests either yet to be done, or results are awaited)

Contact Tracing: On going

No. of cases: 402

Active cases: 363

Recovery: 37

Death: 2

New cases: 27

All cases normal
